Service Starts With Rotarians
Rotarians are people who hold out a helping hand, even if it is not asked for...encourage education of kids who are not their own...help vaccinate children they will never see...help build housing that they will never live in...help feed the hungry theyve never known...make crawlers into walkers halfway around the world...promote world peace in a world that is seldom at peace...treat all with respect regardless of color, race or politics...help make life better in local communities and in those around the globe...and, most important, adopt "Service Above Self" as their motto, and practice it every day.

The Four Avenues of Service

Club Service involves all of the activities necessary for Rotarians to perform to make their club function successfully. It encompasses those club activities which might be called internal housekeeping, and do not constitute direct service to others.
Community Service pertains to those activities that Rotarians undertake to improve the quality of life in their community. It frequently involves assistance to youth, the aged, handicapped and others who look to Rotary as a source of hope for a better life.
Vocational Service provides an opportunity for each Rotarian to represent the dignity and utility of one's vocation to the other members of the club. It emphasizes ethical conduct in business and programs to lead persons into productive careers. Vocational Service includes programming which utilizes the occupational talents of our members to provide Rotary service.

International Service incorporates the many programs and activities that Rotarians undertake to advance international understanding, goodwill and peace. International Service projects are designed to meet humanitarian needs of people in many lands.
